hey there guys, I have a LT8s and recently i got my usb dongle from microtech. They preloaded the base 13bT map into the dongle and i have hooked everything together with the laptop im getting the readings etc from the ecu but i cannot seem to find the load screen to load a map from the dongle to the lt8s

anyone with any info would be of great help, (hoping to get the car up and running)

It's sort of weird. On screen 34 you'll find the "MEMCALS". Scroll to the map you want and then press program. If you hold down program for 2 seconds, it will save the map in the ECU to that MEMCAL, overwriting what is there.

 

thanks for the reply turns out my ecu had the program lock on and saddly previous owner dont know the code, so what options do i have guys? cracking a 1 million combo lock or its into a brown box to Australia?

 

It needs to be sent to Australia.

 

oh the joys of second hand parts... i never put a lock on an ECU.

 

the last time this happend to me. I was turning on and off the ecu with the hand controller plugged up and in the corner of the screen the password code to unlock the computer was popping up for 2 seconds then it disappear. So for **** and giggles I typed and it unlocked the computer. It was an lt8 but i dont know i maybe got lucky i guess...

 

alrite tracked down the previous tuner shop and got the code so its now unlocked and flashed for the stock 13b base map from microtech (which is crapp...hard to start, rich as hell and it floods easily) now i need my a/f ratio guage and egt to road tune

 

The base map is just that, a base to at least get the engine started.
