Help a noob out !
so lastnight i decided to take the map off https://www.rx7club.com/microtech-11...e-maps-343297/ with s5 TII stock 550cc FI's. Mods listed at the time of purchase (If this matters) are: big streetport, FMIC, full 3" ss Exhaust no cat, Walbro.
I have s5 t2, 460cc injectors fomoco, with big streetport and fmic and a bosh 044 . i put the exact map from the site . and car starts up way faster then normal and idles for 5 secs then dies out . why ... why the f did i have to touch the map . now my car does not run and i am stuck . if i never would have came on this site , my curiosity would have never became existent. i wanted to change the map because of my logs showed sT .. but yet the car pulled hard even though it wasn`t staging ? basically i jus need a map to get my car running like it used to or is there a way to my old map that my friend threw on there to have it run decent ? |
whenever i plug my laptop in and press f3 or f4 or whatever , it says testing and just clicks ..

I need a map someone give me something jesus christ this fourm is no help after it helped me get my car to stop runnung thanks . If i woulda jus sticked with my basemap i had before and never would of tried one of these noobs basemaps i wouldnt be here asking for help .

First, is this a brand new install? If so, the stock map is very rich so the car will run very poorly. Swap the ECU to matrix mode and then follow the instructions in the Microtech manual to populate the matrix table. Then start the car and where the engine is running on the matrix table, pull/add fuel as appropriate to get it idling. |
no has been installed for a while , jus wasn`t fully tuned and i was curious and tried to get a better tune without i wideband and ended up making my car not run at all . before it ran pretty goood jus ran rich and i was waitin to get a wideband but got impatient ..

The simple fact is that you need to tune the ECU. This is far easier to do with some kind of feedback like a wideband, and the wideband is the easiest for the novice tuner to use.

got it back up running a little better then it was before i messed the map up , my friend who tuned it came down and fixed my mistake ... still need a wide band , wont touch again til then well not me my friend ;x
