help

i have a 1st gen rx7 that i have installed a turbo2 13b turbo engine with a t04 t60-1 in it along with a ltx8 and ran 550cc primaries and 720cc secondaries , injection perfection IDA manifold and bosch coils along with the series 4 dizzy . the car ran great for a street car, it made 372 rwhp then i went to 3rd gen engine and moved to 850cc primary injectors and 1600cc secondary and a garret t72 and used the same distributor, coils, microtech and everything else. the car runs now but has few tunning issues.
the default injector staging in the ecu is 3000 rpm and 5hg" of load, so whenever the engine hits 3000 or 3200 rpm and i get into 0 vacuum the car feels like starving out or cutting out and it wants to ping but if i dont get into boost the engine revs no problem , now i changed the staging to 1000rpm and 2 psi and the cutting out is gone but the engine wants to ping bad as soon as i get close to boost.
now i have a wide band hooked up and i have a 10.5 afr when it pings so i figured it must be timing , so i zero out the load/timing map and run the rpm/timing map with 9 deg across all maps and still pings.the static timing is set to yellow mark on the front pulley for leading and timing split for the trailing is still whatever microtech set it to. all aother timing maps like water and air are all zero .
i cant seem to get any help from microtech because i cant seem to get hold of dominic at microtech, i always get the lady that works there and she is no help.
thanks
sam

Try raising your staging RPM and changing staging % to around 85%. Where do you start making boost?

Is your main (load) map tuned for your current setup... or have you tuned it since switching to your current setup?

yes i have changed the tunning to suit the bigger injectors and today i tried staging injectors at 65 / 75 / 85 / 90% with the staging at 3000 rpm and 5 hg" and non of them did any different so i went back to 50% and staging at 1000 rpm and 2 psi. also i am so desperate to figure the pinging problem iam willing to doubt myself and check my leading and trailing wires if swapped.

1sgen... your problem sound like timming. Check that you timming (CAS) is inserted and aligned properly. Verify it with a timing light vs the Microtech.
