HBP starts and then dies,HELP please
okay im having trouble starting up a HBP fresh rebuild motor,compression test results were 120psi front 119 rear,im getting spark and fuel so i guess that everything that i need to start the motor is there.Right?When i crank the motor after putting some oil in the chambers it comes to life for around 10 seconds and then dies,i tried to keep it alive playing with the throtle but wont work at all.I took my plugs out to see if it was getting to much gas but the spark plugs were clean and they didnt smell like gas at all(weird cuase the motor started for a couple seconds so gas was getting to the chambers)Here is the map that im using,motor is running stock ignition sistem(FC coils and CAS)FD IAT and TPS,680CC primaries and 1680 secondaries,fuel pressure is set at 38psi,any ideas?

Put your mixtrm to 10% and see if it comes alive.(put a bit of oil again). does it run one or two rotors when it starts?

i did put mixtrm to 10% and it comes alive for a couple of seconds everytime,you can hear that runs in 2 rotors but is like it runs out of gas or something,when it starts rpms go up to around 1000 and then it just dies

is your ignition barrel playing up?
is microtech staying on? can you do a small datalog on the microtech software so i can see exactly what its doing. |

one thing that i forgot is that my stock voltemeter is only reading around 12 volts and 11.97 at the microtech and when i crank the car it goes down to around 8.5,could this be the problem?another thing is does the microtech need to come on when the ignition is on the on position or just by turning the key to accesories?

what is the voltage while the car is running?
you might have to turn your idle up, since you said it goes to 1000 |

i guess that my problem is fuel related because i sprayed starting fluid on the intake and it starts right up but if i stop spraying it the car dies,so maybe my pump is only working when i crank and dies when the car starts or the injectors are wired backwards,well let me find out

well the motor let go,im so fucking lucky,got the car to idle and it pop a seal around 3 grand,lost compression in the rear rotor.

i think i pmed you a while back about seals and you said you were happy with the seals that you had.... pm. ive got some specials going. |
really i have no idea what happen to the motor,it lost compression on the rear,there is not even a slight puff coming out of the hole is just plain dead,not a single piece of seal when thru the turbo exhaust blades(they look new)so im taking the mani of and im gonna inspect the damage,is weird cause i have no compression in any of the 3 faces and that only happens when apex seals go kaboom but like i said no damage to the wheels

just cause apex seals go kaboom dosnt mean they will be in turbo. like i told ya before. get a real seal kit. stop wasting your time with mazda hurley what ever it is that your using.
