finally passed emissions

Ugggg!! Well, I finally passed emissions. Not enough time in the day and week to get work, school, and tune the ole Rx7 for emissions.

Anyhow, she blew the best numbers she has ever had.

25mph test
97 HC 174 allowed,
.62 CO% 1.12 allowed,
67 NOx 1258 allowed

15mph test
66 HC 180 allowed
.02% CO% 1.01 allowed
356 NOx 1378 allowed

Save the map and wait till next year. Thanks for all the input that you all had for me.

There was some in there, but it wan't as much as before. I had about a gallon of isoprople to about 4 gallons of gas the two times previous, but this time I just left what I had in there previous with a couple gallons of gas added.

But it is nice to be done with dealing with that. The map should take care of me for a while until I can get an EGT and wideband to really set things.

So what did it take to pass? Did you have an airpump hooked up?

yeah I was wondering if you could tell us what emissions equipment you were running? Did you have the egr valve, air pump, acv valve on there? Were you running all three cats?

thanks

The emissions equipment was very simplistic. Electric airpump controlled by the microtech, pumping air directly into the Catco Highflow cat. No ACV, No EGR.

Just leaned the car out and heated the cat up really hot.

Wow, sweet! Thanks for the info! So basically just the airpump and cat, cool, I need to pull my last smog check and see how the limits differ for CA.

Make sure to use the stock air injection pipe. It has that nifty one way check valve on it.
