Well after sending the Microtech to aussieland for a check up that just wasted my money and half a year, I figured out what my problem was... The pin connection for the wire that connects my dongle/handset directly to the ECU has a short in it. I figured this out today while driving/troubleshooting the wiring. I left the car running and jiggled the injector wiring and then the coils' wiring... nothing. i start driving again and grabbed the handset to check my temps. It started acting up. i jiggled the ecu/dongle and found it.

So if any of you have symptoms like this... now you know.

Symptoms:
loss of power
backfiring loudly
intermittent on/off
A/F gauge goes wayyyyyy lean

My guess is that when the MT people test the ecu they just plug it into a molex connector to a computer, so they never hooked up a handset to it.
