I'm really wanting to get in on this group buy, but the problem is, justifying spending the money now, vs. later.

If I get in on the group buy, there seems to be 15+ people in on it, which means the unit price goes from $650 to $585, correct?

What is the non-group-buy price on the other things? Such as the handset, and the computer software and harness??

Lastly, after I recieve the unit, I was told I can get a map that would work very well for my mods. After I wire & hook up the harness, what other things do I have to do to get it going?? Just load the maps and crank the car??

Sorry, I'm kindof nervous about spending this kind of $$ on myself, but I'm wanting to get in on time for this group buy!

 

Buying in the group buy will be saving you around 10% then another 10% if they manage to get the 15 people.
There is also a big saving on freight as all units will be shipped in one or 2 packages depending on the order size.
As for getting the car running,once it's wired up then just turn the key!!!!The base map is already loaded onto the computer!!!
All you really have to do is zero the timing & calibrate the TPS so the computer knows where idle is.
Trust me,It doesn't get much easier

Assuming I get in on the group buy on time, how long until the money is collected? My financial aid is going to come down to the wire on this one...

if you were considering getting one you have 2 days till the cutoff, they just about have the 15 people and i think they will get there to get the extra 10% off, you will not get the ECU's this cheap for a long time, and the aussy doller is getting a little stronger as well which will work against you later on.

I presume the money will be collected with in a week of the cutoff, check with brandon on that one,

you wont have to load the base map as they are pre loaded on the ecu, just wire up and set the TPS then fire it up and put on the timing lock and check the timing and away you go.
