I changed a hose on my rx3 and somehow i must have shorted something because when i try to start my car im getting a buzzing noise from my microtech.It seems that i have a short i have the on board display and that dosent even turn on when i turn the key like before and none of the lights on the unit come on either( the red yellow or green lights) where should i start gurus?

 

Start with you 12v constant and ground. It's very likely to chaff or pinch one of those. Other than that, you may have to chase each wire starting at the pin. Unplug the unit and everything it attaches to and put a multimeter on every wire until you find the one or two that are shorted. But it really sounds like the pos batt wire is pinched somewhere. Good luck.

 

Check the relay in the engine back in the fuse box..the one to the back i think. Make sure its working properly
