Microtech Anyone use the two step feature?
i just set this up today, but im still kinda nervous about using it. no one has really answered my question about leaning out if the fuel is cycling on and off. i guess maybe if you use the Inp Timing function it might be ok...?
well i tried it out...it seems like it works, but it isnt real aggressive...its like it cuts the fuel for too long at a time or something, so you get like a slow 3-500 rpm up/down instead of a quick 20 rpm sputter like most 2-steps ive heard. I was able to build boost a little, but not as much as i thought i would..
I finally got mine working, and set it at 5000 rpm... as patman stated it is like a 400 rpm studder... I tried it with my street tires and it seems to work very well. when i get the drag radials on the car and try it out, i will let everyone know what i think about it.
Sorry for such a long wait. I finally got to try my two step out with the MT drag radials on the car. I must say that i love it. It works perfectly and i seem have much better response from the car coming out of the hole. I definitely think this has helped my 60' but i dont have any track numbers to back it up..
I use it all the time! I think it works really well! The fire show out of the exhaust freaks everyone out!!! I'am getting about 2-3 psi with it and that works just right for me.....also seeing 1.233 60 foot times on lanch.....I'am happy

I use the two step feture all the time! It works really well on my setup! I use it in conjunction with 2 MSD Digital 4 Boxes. I am seeing 60 foot times at 1.145 on average! You can see the car on my website. rickstilesracing.com
this thread sucks..can someone provide an exact procedure of what i have to do to set up this 2 step? what type of switch, what functions to use, how to wire up the aux, how much timing to pull ect ect

Blue wire with red stripe. Aux input. Put 12v+ to it. If you prefer you can use the clutch switch. It has been debated here already.
Set the revcut and inp revlim to your liking.
Pull inp timing to negative side. I put mine all the way.
Inp enrich, once again I put mine all the way, on the positive side.
I build around 5psi at 5krpm with these settings, mods in sig.

uuh....
There's no input rev cut..
only a input rev lim..
revlim is terrible.. (leans both rotors huh?)
can anyone tell me anything about this? or are all of you just using the input rev lim?

hmm i just set mine up and it doesn't seem to be working too well. How much timing should it be showing when its turned on? When i press the button, the timing shows 0 and doesn't seem to build enough boost. The exhaust doesn't seem to pop too much and just hear the bov a little bit.
no lt10s is ignition cut. Still slow in comparison to other cuts.
The lt16 has a new cut which is faster.
I usually retard 10-15 degrees on 2 step. But im still working on a perfect setting. Have not go their. Its not something people share information about. Its all secret.

It's pretty much not worth setting up unless you have some mean slicks. You also have to be willing to put a whipping on your drive train, and from the sounds of things under revlim, your engine.
