Microtech 3rd tps on 2nd gen map?

3rd tps on 2nd gen map?
Im running a 3rd gen UIM and TB on my car, the basemap on the LT-8s is for a 2nd gen. I cant get the TPS set right, are the 3rd gen and 2nd gen TPSs interchangeable when the microtech is set for the 2nd gen TPS?
