Hey man, I was reading the thread about side draft carb filters that you posted in, and I was taking a good look at the pictures of your 12a. I was wondering if you had some time to talk about how you ignition is set up, because that looks very clean.

My tach goes to 8k, and the motor can take a bit more.
I hit 8k when there's no cops around. I'll look into the block off after I get the carb issue sorted.
Appearantly something is up at Sterling and he isn't shipping or responding to emails so we'll see.

Thanks a lot man, I know for a FACT I'm leaking a few drops of oil per night from there (2 teaspoons maybe). Good idea to go ahead and premix?

I have a question and can't find what I'm looking for on the forums. The oil metering pump: what does it look like and where on the carburetor is it?
I read that they're prone to failure as well. Should I just go ahead and use 8 ounces of 2 stroke oil as a precaution?
