Maximum dwell setting vs Nominal dwell setting
Just a quick question: In Ignition options, the old setting (old firmware, MS1?) was called Maximum dwell and the new setting is called Nominal dwell. Do these generally refer to the same thing or do I have to do the math to find how much ms to run for Nominal dwell (14.4 V?) The old setting for maximum dwell was 3.6 ms.
Or am I better off trying what is mentioned in the Megamanual and drop the dwell 0.1 ms at a time until the idle falters and then adding 0.2ms or 0.3ms (similar to setting the injector pwm values)? Thanks. |

Thanks. The 3.6 ms setting I mentioned before is according to Aaroncake's writeup for maximum dwell. Thanks ahead of time for any help. |
I talked to Matt @ DIY and he said that they are one in the same. The naming is just cleared up. Maximum dwell is nominal dwell.
