I've never heard of an Rx-7-SP or Ladybird Special. Where are you referencing this information and only 14 imported from? Might consider placing it on BaT. It's more work, but would get more appreciation there.

I though it was an "S" but it's been registered as a "SP" since it was new. I called Mazda and, after several calls, they put on some guy who is like Galen Glovier is for Mopars. He says it was a special run of 14 on that one day and they are all identical. Other than that, as far as a I can tell, it's an "S" in Tender Blue.
