Thank you for your interest.
I have been advised from other members that the car is worth significantly more than the suggested price.
They recommended selling on BaT where last month a 1994 T in this condition and mileage apparently sold for $105,000.
If this is something in your price range, please let me know your best offer.

To each his own, but I think you were very much in the ballpark of it's value with your original asking price for the seasoned FD community. Having said that, BAT prices are often overinflated, so you may find non-community collectors willing to pay much more on BAT than on this forum (along with a lot of fake bidding from buyers who don't really intend to purchase the vehicle). It's why many vehicles get relisted on there despite being "sold" at astronomical prices.

I expressed my interest in purchasing the car first in this thread and via private message. We spoke on the phone the morning after you posted your F/S ad. You said you were going to hold onto it because you didn't want to regret selling the car. If you are interested in selling to someone whose dream car was an SSM R2 and not to someone who will lock it away in a private collection, then please call me again. I am not willing to pay a price $30k+ over what you asked for just because people on a forum who have no intention of purchasing it said it was worth that much.

Lol. The car is worth $85-110K depending condition. Even with the market softening that is the reality. If it doesn't sell he will drop the price back down. I was traveling with family when it was posted or I would have jumped all over it for $70K. If it was a 95 I'd likely still try to work out a deal. From the limited pics and info it looks like an incredible example of what I consider to be the most sought after US Spec FD. Good luck in whatever you decide to do with it.

Curious about the A/C system on that car. Is it a Mana system?

I think most buyers have wised up and realized we're well past the peak, and into not just the softening, but actual decline of the used car market. Obviously it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I think $70Kish was a very fair price, esp in this overinflated market, knowing that you're likely going to be kicking yourself for overpaying come a few months from now. Now if $80K was his counteroffer, I think we would have continued the discussion. But $105k? Hard pass. Your "right" buyer is likely a car collector who will be more than content leaving it only on display indefinitely. And that's definitely not me.

I was wondering why no one jumped on this yet, now I know.

I am guessing BaT would allow an $80k-$85k reserve. Not sure we have seen a super low mile R2.

Crap. I'd feel bad if I put miles on it.

Anyone with a low mileage FD should want to see this on BaT. Public sale of low mileage R2 = increased values.

FDs, like any other “collectible” car, are softening sure. Collectible/fun cars do follow seasonal sales. I believe that these cars will never come down in value due to the simple fact that they are emotional purchases.

There’s more people with too much money than there are LHD FDs.

A friend is actually fairly serious about purchasing this FD, but the OP never responded to my PM. Also have to question an increase of ~40% to the asking price.
