For sale I have my 1988 Mazda RX7 Convertible. I acquired the car a month ago with the plan to daily it, however I've decided it is not what I need. The person who had the car prior to me was unable to answer any questions and seems to not have understood what the car really was. Upon receiving the car I changed the spark plugs/wires (NGK), did an oil change (20W50 Idemitsu), installed a new battery (OPTIMA Red Start), replaced every single fuse in the car (AutoZone Special Lol), converted soft top to manual (Due to a motor or wiring issue), and just cleaned the car (Clay bar, Wash/Wax etc.). One of the previous owners installed an aluminum Koya radiator and thermostat, new slotted rotors and ceramic pads (look brand new), steel braded brake lines, racing beat exhaust, racing beat suspension, RX8 Seats, new carpeting (looks brand new). I am sure I am missing many new parts but needless to say it has no problem driving. It doesn't burn any coolant and the engine sounds great. I believe the engine had a rebuild in 2012 but this hasn't been confirmed. The car was originally red and then professionally repainted, to do this the engine would have been pulled. Pair that fact with the new diff and transmission there appears to be (it looks brand brand new) I believe the car was redone. Now for the bad...The car needs mostly electrical; wipers do not work (I was told it was the switch), PS is leaking, Speedometer/Odometer/OP Guage/Fuel Guage Not working, Oil Pan Gasket is Leaking, needs new short shifter (bushing bad), AC Deleted, Blower Motor not working?. There are more pros than cons but its just not in the shape where I can daily it to college which is in 2 months. And before you ask, the underside of the car is impeccable NO RUST Anywhere. I was hoping to get 9k but i don't know what's fair. I would really like to trade for a Miata or a newer car I can daily. I will include more oil and premix in the sale.
