Hey all. Im from Maryland. My friend and I are getting ready to transfer to UPRM (university of Puerto Rico Mayaguez). I was justr wodering how many other 7 tuners are down there.

I'm a UPRM Alumni... COLEGIO!!!!

As far as tuners, there's West in Mayaguez near Campus but all over the island you'll find them.

There's an 1/8 mile track in Añasco and 1/4 mile la pista El Tuque in Ponce and then Salinas speedway in Salinas

And the UPRM girls...... will make you forget about cars!! hahaha

 

been there done that " to include the university", you love PR and the RX7's, party life, girls and fast cars, not enough time to study, should make a 48 hr day, mmmm we should pass that bill to congress

 

Hahaha thats awesome! My friend was born there and has family down there so we are staying with them from April 6th to the 10th. We are going down to visit the college and just kinda look around. Some of his family already said they would be taking us to the local track.... Im not sure which one that is but I think its a 1/4 mile track.

How much are the going rates to have your car dynotuned down there. Before I move I wanna get mine done one more time by Ray @ PFSupercars. He's too close to me that I can't resist.

Prepare to pay a lot of money to move the car there "arbitrios"" tax in other words", if you are not in the military they will charge you tax by the book value to enter and register the car in PR and also make sure you got a good,good alarm system and a good good, good car insurance.

 

i wouldnt take no fd to puerto rico thats crazy no matter if got good alarm or insurance if the pillo wants it hell get it

 

thats my home town,PR and rotorys are like rice and beans...thats a fact

 

local taxes for imported cars are killer...

So true about the arbitrios. I paid $1600.00 back in 1998 when I took my 1988 GTU back home after retiring from the military. I was lucky with the pillos. Had it for 3 years in the island with no problems before I sold it and I left it at many places I had no business being at. Be prepared to pay a insurance preminun.

Puerto Rico is fun as hell....I recently moved here from Orlando, FL and I cant complain....I only have a 1st gen and it isnt running so i cant complain about the pillos.....although I had an MKII Supra and either the pillos didnt want it or they werent around(I think its the 1st choice...Lol) but it never got stolen. And life in PR is fun because theres a beach usually less than 30 minutes away and like prrex4ever said the women are beautiful. Oh and if your under 21 and like to drink then you will love PR....legal drinking age is 18 here....Lol In a year I will be legal over there but not yet but it doesnt much matter anyways...Lol Goodluck and I hope the pillos dont take the beautiful FD away. Oh and everyone is right about the arbitrios...they are a bitch....expect to pay anywhere from 2-8k I think.....anyways peace n goodluck
