New kill lastnight.
So there's a local guy here that has an older body style trans am with a new LS6 out of a vette swapped in. His mods are aftermarket cam, true dual exhaust, new lid, all the extra stuff that comes on those engines like the better 243 heads and LS6 intake manifold, 100 shot, and he drives around on racing slicks. For those that haven't seen me post about it much, I've gone LS1 and have comparable mods, but my car's untuned at the moment so it's running super rich. Neither of us were on the bottle the first run.
Anyway, we go out to the "track" and line up. Since he had racing slicks on, it wouldn't exactly have been a fair fight, so after the "tree" turned green, we did a quick roll up to 15 and then hit it. We both let into it at about the same time and I pulled about a half car on him at first, then he pulled back up to my fender but then dropped back after having to change gears. I missed the 2-3 shift at first but got it in quickly enough so that he was only half a car in front with me reeling him back in, until I missed the 3-4 shift too.
On the second run we did he got the jump on me and there wasn't a chance of me reeling him back in, so I think he might've turned the juice on. It was a good race, though I was a little dissapointed. Hopefully with a tune and my cut-out open I'll be able to walk him. On the 100 shot I've got I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a competition.
Oh, and the "tracks" printer was messing up, so I don't know what times we ran.

Yeah nice kill and good to see you are conforming and "keeping it to the race track" :p. I can wait to get my FD back on the road again so I can get some more time out on "the track". I will be taking my brother out to Pukekohe raceway once it is going and legal for his first ever race track experience, I might try and race him but he drives a VW Kombi van, i could prob destroy him in reverse lol.

Yes sir, Team Benjos is all about keeping it PC. We've managed to litter the track with tootsie pops and barbie dolls though, so we still have little children to dodge for some tyte dorifto action.
team benjos is always on the ball, i have been practicing my engine braking by dodging big wheels and stranded power wheels! my technique is getting better by the day to face our kamikaze champion for the title at the track in a gumtape deathmatch....even tho we are going straight.
So wouldnt you be faster on the strip with an automatic? Sorry, had to do it....great kill. Is there not a strip a few miles from your house? I know that there is one somewhere in Greenwood.
