Thanks dude, got the piece, put it in and the thing works great, it does look like you used it without that piece though, the top bushing was bent a little funny I noticed when putting it in, not a problem at all, but I think it's because it was holding all the weight of the shifter up rather than letting it sit on that other bushing and inner spacer ring when you had it, did you get it new or used from someone? Either way I think you got shafted and I'd give you a +10 if it would let me for the effort you went through to make it right and I didn't have to do anything but mention it was missing
