Buyer requested that I ship to an alternate address other than the PayPal provided address and paid with an eCheck which caused delays. Upon notification that item was shipped he filed an Item Not Received dispute which only protects the seller if the item is shipped to the original address on the PayPal transaction. Luckily enough I was able to reroute the package to the original transaction address and PayPal concluded I had done everything right. However, this is a common method of scamming people as if the package arrives at the 'wrong' address before it can be rerouted the buyer can then claim he never received the item and even with proper documentation PayPal will refund the money to the buyer, effectively making the seller lose both the item and the money.
