New owner of a 1991 Vert!

hey guys, ima new owner of a 1991 Vert automatic tranny. :[ yeah i know.. auto, but it was clean with 114,000 miles on it and bought it for $2,800 from some old lady.

im having a problem though, nothing major, just annoying.

when i use my windshield wipers and turn them off, they turn off right in the middle. they dont finish the swipe and go down all the way. i have to turn it ON and OFF and play with it to bring it down all the way.
is there a RELAY for the switch for this? or is this normal cuz it is old??

thanks guys,
Zain

Hey Zain, welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you need to either get a new wiper switch, or rebuild the old one.

ohkayy. well last night i turned the wipers on and they went back down.. wierd? is it because the car has been sitting in the previous owner's garage for a long time? if it happenes again, ill just go buy a new one from Mazda. first i thought it was the fuse but i read threads on here that some ppl have tried that and it didnt work. thanks for your help! :]
