My first RX7 - 1993 FD
hey guys, new to the forum, recently picked up a FD from my friend who crashed it about 2 years ago and has been sitting in his uncles mechanics shop
the car was hit in the front passenger side, i checked it out and there is no frame rail damage so it's just a replacement of the radiator support, a little pull time, and new body panels, i already have a pair of JDM fenders that i will use, and my friend has a shine feed's style front bumper that i'm getting for cheap, for the hood, i'll probably get a VIS Racing hood since my friend is a manager there and i get stuff for half price the FD has always been one of my favorite cars since i was a little kid, and i never had the time, spare cash, or space to buy one https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5194/...fcf5d5fedf.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7084/...eb85b6254c.jpg https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5454/...c1916af962.jpg i've always had honda's, and have built a couple magazine cars, currently building another civic from the ground up with all brand new parts from the dealer, a slow project, i'm keeping it pretty simple, no more motor swaps, track suspension, roll cages, etc. this is going to be a super clean, fresh, rebuilt, brand new feeling civic that i will be driving on the street, it's going to be with the stock SOHC VTEC that has been completely refreshed, all new gaskets and hardware PLUS1EG at Wekfest 2012 https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7056/...867523bd73.jpg before that i had my integra, was my daily driver that i drove the crap out of, very comfortable car, had suspension good for the track, kept power steering and air conditioning, full JDM Type-R interior with recaro's and carbon panels DUMATEG https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7154/...974e2e040e.jpg before that i had my RHD EG6, imported from japan in 2007, registered and driven on the streets 3-4 times a week, had a JDM ITR K20A motor with a built head, track suspension, safety21 roll cage, ITR 5 lug brake conversion with spoon calipers, recaro spg's, all the goodies, made 233whp and 165 ft/tq on a dynojet, ran a 12.2 quarter mile at sac raceway in 2009, this thing was a beast on the streets, very fun to drive DUMA EG https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7042/...d949dd3a84.jpg https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7043/...2390521fc3.jpg |

Wow lots of short posts here! I'll throw something in to bring back on track.
Anyway man, its glad to see someone else who has owned many cars before owning an FD. Its a good thing and shows mad respect for a car that should be in the hands of a auto geek. I started out with an 87 Crx which I still have to this day, moved up to a 95 Miata and crashed it. Owned a 00' Prelude, and crashed it. Bought a 92 Corolla, swapped a Blacktop 20v 4AGE 5spd into it. Found an 88 MR2, bought it and now its Megasquirted..... owned a 2006 G35 and SOOOOOOOOOOOLD it, .... and Finally bought a precious white lady 94 FD, my childhood dream car. Funny how it took so long to get the right car haha. Always missed the Miata the most but now I have its bigger sister. |

Love your integra!
|
nice collection

I guess my question is do you wish fd's were more attainable or is the rarity part of the magic?
If my fc was fwd I'd drive in reverse |
