Just got my 93 FD!

HI, my name is Chango. I just bought my first RX-7 yesterday afternoon, and I have been waiting for six years to be able to own it. Its a Twin Turbo Touring edition with a Rebuilt motor. I have a Racing Beat Exhaust. Its Red with Tan interior. I have an HKS Turbo Timer and a Boost Gauge mounted. Manual Transmission, Of Course. I'm glad that I can finally say that I am a proud FD owner! I definitely have a long way though before I can understand the inner workings of my car. Hopefully I can learn everything I need to know from this forum and all the people who are part of it! Thanks.

iamchango 05-17-11 12:40 PM

I'm looking for an Rx7 Club that I can join in the Bay Area, so if anyone has any information, it would be nice.

I have already tried the 3 Bay Area Social Groups on the Forums, but no one has responded.

Should I just make my own Social Group?

Saber One 05-18-11 09:58 AM

nice one
which you good luck with the car and a long rotary live

iamchango 06-12-11 03:19 AM

Are any of you from california? Trying to find a group of people who want to meet up every now and then to chill.

Husafan 06-12-11 11:04 AM

I am in South Bay! Let me know if you get a meet up going.

Husafan 06-30-11 10:58 AM

Congratulations! I just got mine as well! She's in FL right now being taken care of by Cam from Pettit Racing, but she should be with me in about three weeks or so. Here's some pictures.

Sheepdog 07-04-11 09:42 AM

New to the forum

Congrats on the FD. I'm rather new to the FD family myself. I found a 93 with 25,000 miles on it about two years ago. It had been parked in someones garage for a number of years. It looked line it had been used as a storage shelf :(. Lots of scratches on the hood and top, a few dents here and there. Nothing $6,000 a paint job couldn't fix. Looks as great as in runs now.:)

Marcojdm 07-04-11 05:22 PM

super clean bro! congrats on the buy. looking forward to my own soon

But I definitely love the red.

iamchango 10-26-11 03:18 PM

If I wanted to make a thread about my car upgrades and changes, do I make it in the generation specific forum?

ladywoodrx7 10-27-11 11:31 AM

congrats to everyone who has just got an fd, we just got one about a week ago too. needs a bit of tlc cuz the previous owner was a spoiled kid who didnt take care of it and didnt deserve the car. its technically a 92 rx7 fd imported here from japan sometime ago, twin turbo, right hand drive five speed standard.i wanna tear it down sometime soon and build it up again but make sure everythings right when i do it. i'm sure i'll learn lots from this site

Congrats on the FD! One day I want to own a RHD.

Its a shame that the previous owner did not take care of the car, but at least you will appreciate it.

ladywoodrx7 10-27-11 07:52 PM

its different to drive but very fun and i know its pretty crazy but i wanna save up for the veilside fortune body kit. i do autobody so i could probably install it myself but i just dont like how it costs like 12 grand lol

digiboy 10-27-11 08:22 PM

Godspeed

Have a great time. I have had 4 rx-7s and finally found that perfect place between power and reliability!

That would be awesome to get that body kit....
When I saw the price, I thought to myself and I knew I would rather just buy a second FD3S.

iamchango 11-03-11 12:48 PM

Does anyone know if the 3rd gen forum specific Build Thread will let me post a thread about the changes I make to my car even if its not major changes?
I just want a place that I can keep track of all the little things and maybe major changes that I do throughout the years.

jsanti201 11-06-11 06:06 AM
