After 25 years I am back in the RX-7 world. Quite a bit has changed since the mid 80's....My name is Barron, I am from Griffin, GA (south of Atlanta). Just this past weekend did something I never thought would happen....bought an RX-7....not just any RX-7, but THE RX-7 I had as my first car back in the mid 80's. It is/was/is an 83 Limited edition, stock with front ground effects and a rear spoiler added....the guy I sold it too in 1988 with 52000 miles finally decided he had had the car long enough, I happened to see it and here we are. Its definately showing its age cosmetically...paints faded, drivers seat is torn, but the car is solid and intact. Even still has the factory LE wheels. Mechanically it seems ok except the fuel system... have the carb off right now rebuilding it, but I know it has sat for the better part of a year, so thats to be expected. Anyways, she is mine again, and only has 140,000 miles on it now...looking forward to learning a bit about restoring this car to what she was the first go round...and yes I have pictures of her back then....

That's always nice to see, buying back the one that almost got away! Congratulations on the recovery, Barron! I imagine you're going to want to keep it a little bit longer this time around, eh?
Hey, thanks for taking the time to register with the site and welcome aboard to RX-7 Club! The more 1stgen folk who join, the better, I always say!
