Help please

Hi. My name is Ryan. I just bought an 87 rx7 turbo 2. It had a blown turbo. The guy I bought it from replaced the turbo with one from Japan. He said he had to put all the innards into the stock turbo housing cause it wouldn't bolt up right. It won't idle unless I keep my foot on the gas and it sputters and backfires. I've looked into allot of stuff. Set the timing, set the tps. I was told the Japan turbo is an s5 and that is most likely the problem. Just wondering if that's true. Thank you

Hey Ryan.
Welcome to the Forum and congrats on getting an Rx7.
We ask that you Please post your TECH questions in the TECH SECTION so those placing new intros won't be overshadowed by an Introductory Thread getting Technical responses.
When placing your tech question you should include as much info as possible so others can help you quicker.
Your problem sounds like a vac leak.but again you will find out when you place your question IN Tech.

I Find that Reading the SEC GEN SPECIFIC section is like GOLD..a wealth of info.(10 years of late nights and coffee can't be bad..can it?....lol!)
