Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I currently live near Columbia, SC and I have been interested in RX-7's and rotary engines for many years. My best friend in high school got me interested in the cars, his father built RX-7 racecars for SCCA races. I had an 85 GSL in high school and had many fond memories of that car. I recently got an 88 GXL from a co-workers father who practically paid me to take the car off. It had been sitting for a while so I picked it up for a project car. I haven't had a lot of time to begin working on it yet, and have still not been able to get the car to actually fire up. I figure it is going to need a new engine, but have always enjoyed a challenge. I am probably going to have some questions about the car. Does anyone know if there are any places in SC that are trustworthy to find RX-7 parts or even help out with engine rebuilds? I know of a good person in NC, but haven't found much in SC.

...and there's sure to be someone there who knows exactly the person or garage that can help you. Mind you, there's a LOT of individual talent on this forum and you may just end up with a new friend who can get that beast started for you.
