I just purchased a 1st generation nearly identical to the one I drove through $4000 worth of Cal Trans guard rail in 1980. Thank God no one was seriously hurt. Wish me better luck with my second Rotary.

No worries, I parked my first one on top of a highschool friends fence, bent the frame about 4 degrees into a U shape....I was running from the police....with the lights off......at night: 
Seemed like the right thing to do at the time! I was 16 and drifting before drifting was invented, unfortunatly that night, a cop just happened to be coming around the same corner that I was going sideways through in the mountains in NC!! I didn't get a ticket for running, as I did out run him, it was a ticket for running a stop sign! I left 44' of skidmarks before coming to an abrupt stop on his fence. The police estimated my speed based on the markings at 40-45 mph.....I know I was doing at leat 80, they didn't factor in the stopping power of a 5 foot deep ditch that was 10 feet accross before hitting the fence!!
