Hello

Hello,
Bought a red 93 a few weeks ago. The seller said it was an r1, but most of the r1 pieces were not there. I believe the suede seats and dual oil coolers are the only parts left. I read on this board somewhere to check on mymazda.com, if that's accurate, I guess it's an r1. I definitely have some work ahead of me.

Welcome!! There's a good chance it was originally an R1. You may want to contact Mazda and provide them with the vin and see what they have to say about the trim level. Do you know much of the car's history?

Unfortunately, I don't know much about the car. I bought it from a place in Denver, I'm from Ohio. From what I got, the dealer was selling it on behalf of the owner. The owner apparently traded another car for this one but didn't have the time to put into the car. It was converted to a single turbo but still on a stock ECU. The interior needs a little tlc too.

Oh nice, that's a nice area. I used to do some side work for a company up there.

Its a nice town for sure. I'm glad to be back home though. I live all the way up north, 20 minutes East of Cedar Point.

Are you planning on keeping all of the aftermarket bodywork or going back to the original look? I thought of your car when I went to visit my buddy on Thursday night. He has an all original 95 with 18k miles. Its stunning to say the least.

Your buddy has a nice example. Currently, I want to bring it back to stock form. I have a stock hood (although dented and scratched up) and just bought stock headlights from the marketplace. I do fight with maybe updating to the later front bumper though.
