Going Supra to Rx7

Hi all. I'm 26 and a student in the Chicago area. I have had an MK4 Supra for a couple years now and am ready to move on. Looking to buy/build an Rx7 with an ls1/t56. I know the ls/rotary is a big divide in the community, but when you love japanese style and raw merican power, i cant think of a better combo. I know there is another forum for v8 guys but I would still like to be around for more general info.

Hey dude,
LS hey? Good power and not that heavy. Seen a lot of fcs rip it with LS swaps. I love the sound of a rotary though.

As for the 6k for a roller part.
Yup, I think for a rolling shell you will have enough. Here in Canada I seen a fd rolling shell for 3 grand. Just got to be lucky!

Cheers

Moving from a supra to an rx7 great!

Moving from a supra to an LS powered rx7? Stick with the supra. Don't ruin another rx7, and imo the 2jz is 50x better than an LS motor in every way.

Welcome to the club! And... not another one... Haha. Honestly, like OG said, i would keep the Supra. You're sitting on a gold mine of a car. Do you still have it, how much you willing to sell it for? I like many here is a purist with the FD. Why not go get a C5 Vette? I feel that you'll get tired of the LS FD as quick as you got over your supra. But yet that should be enough for a roller if you want to go through with it.

Have you ever driven an FD? Was there a dramatic difference in the cars handling and response in comparison to the Supra? Just curious lol
