1993 FD 20B project - Denmark

Hey guys. My name is Troels nicknamed Troclo, living in Copenhagen, Denmark and im the pround owner of a black 1993 RX-7 FD R1. I managed to break two 13B's in 2 years, so decided to go 20B for more torque. The new engine is in the car and the new wiring is well under way. The exhaust manifold needed a correction so im currently waiting for that. Im gonna run it with a Motec M84 ecu and a big single turbo. My aim is 500 hp, hoping the engine will last me a while this time. Ive owned a 1988 FC N/A as well as 7 other FD's, most bought for resale with a little profit. I do most of the work myself with the help of friends in my own little workshop.

I love that engine. There getting pretty rare over here in Japan, so I hope it lasts you a long while to come.

Yeah they are getting pretty rare, only 3500 ever produced I think, we have 3 here in copenhagen though!:)

Beautiful car, I travel to Denmark for work fairly often. I have an office in Alleroed
Denmark and I can honestly say I haven't seen a RX-7 on any of my visits there!

Beautiful car!

The sleeper look, with a 20b inside... too good.

wthdidusay82 01-16-13 02:36 AM

500 HP should be easy to make on 3 rotors. Good luck

sinistervr 01-16-13 09:25 AM

3 rotor ftw

Troclo 01-16-13 11:01 AM

Sorry no video yet, still needs a bit of wiring before we start it up. Yes it will be a total sleeper, I dont really like any of the body kits out there so why mess with perfection!

eterenity11 01-16-13 12:27 PM

nice..

gatekeeper5520 01-16-13 11:55 PM

how much boost to make 500?

Troclo 01-17-13 11:39 AM

Im hoping to achieve it on 0,8-1,2 bar, as I dont really want to push the engine. It had the rear rotor replaced while in the Cosmo, so im going without a rebuild to begin with.
(1 bar = 14.5037738 pounds per square inch)

wow awesome car
