Hi Everyone,
My name is Evan Schwartz and I'm a new member of the forum. I own a bright red Mazda RX-7 convertible (Series 4) that I originally purchased it back in 1988 as a wedding gift to myself. The car still looks and smells absolutely brand new. Except for annual oil, oil filter, and air filter changes. I've done almost nothing else to the car since new. Believe it or not it only has 11,700 miles on it and still runs great except for an annoying fast idle problem. The only thing I got rid of when I originally purchased the car was the A/C unit which I had no use for - just 50 lbs. of dead weight!

However, what does annoy me after all these years are people constantly asking me if I want to sell the car when I take it for out for a ride. My answer is always the same - no - which usually disappoints some car guys. But what's really funny is when I tell people it has rotary engine with no pistons. The look on peoples faces is quite amazing!

I know where you're coming from! I've had mine since I was 19 (mid 40's now) finally able to sink a bit of dough into it.
