Spray Foam Widebody Kit. "That's Right" !!

Local guy with nutty skills. He used spray foam, then carved out what he wanted it to look like. He then put a layer of fiberglass on top and painted it.

What do you think of how it looks? :) Obviously, it's not going to last long but..... skills.

Wow, that looks awesome!

ptrhahn 10-12-04 12:17 PM

You've gotta hand it to the guy... great idea, and grat carving skills... you realize how easy it would be for a hand-carved piece to look lopsided?... nice work.

SiKoPaThX 10-12-04 12:49 PM

are you pulling our leg gargamel?

Speedworks 10-12-04 01:21 PM

that's the idea behind any designed body kit. but normaly you go making a mould of what he has done and then making a positive agian. In this way you have a full polyster piece instead of a polyester/steel piece, which in the end, won't hold due to the big difference in expansion caracteristics (the reason why polyester piece break of hoods, sidepanels, anything...)

It's cool, he has the skills , now refine it...

Thats totally insane, that guy has sick skills.

MrBojangles 10-12-04 04:28 PM

I watched a show where wings west made a body kit for an escalade and this was the same way they did it.

They sprayed with foam, carved the foam. Except they then made a mold of the foam and laid the fiberglass in the mold rather then just leaving the foam and covering it with fiberglass.

ROTORhead93 10-12-04 05:10 PM

Thats awesome. It looks great considering he hand carved everything, looks real too. I gotta say, the guys got some skills.

Aesop Rock 10-12-04 05:51 PM

I want.

bigmack000 10-12-04 07:49 PM

cool

Black97VR4 10-12-04 08:12 PM

He should make a mold and mass produce those. I don't have an FC but if I did I'd be interested. It's very clean looking.

Psygnosis7 10-12-04 08:20 PM

Sounds pretty heavy.

1revn3rdgen 10-12-04 09:31 PM

That guy does have skills.

p l a y j a y 10-12-04 09:39 PM

EpitrochoidMan 10-12-04 10:13 PM

I give props to the guys skills. But, seriously, that's pretty funky, he should have made a mold and made real body pieces.

satoacs 10-12-04 10:25 PM
