I bought mine from a forum member at some savings. VERY nice. As mentioned it's weighted like the stock knob and is quality stuff. I'm happy anyway.
FWIW, a picture of it in the car. It's on a Pettit SS, so it's sitting a little lower than stock.

a VW 16v GTI leather ball shift knob somehow fits the FC shifter. That is what i use.

the rx8 5SPD gear knob. looks great and has some weight behind it for smoother shifting

I have 2 of those rx-8 knobs(lucked out and guy who I got 2 rexs from had one on each car.) I havent tryed many knobs but this one is most satisfying to me.

Jeep shift knob on a Miata shortthrow..it is the size of a medium egg.

Lol, sorry, a friend of mine has a wrangler with that kind of pattern sort of and I rag on him a lot for it, it just comes naturally. I agree though, I wouldn't buy a new seat just to change the color.
