Rotary Extreme - requires cuttong, has the best (Hella 90mm DOT) lighting of any kit so far, from reports. Pods are almost identical to the RE Amemiya kit, mount using cheap brackets (but one less, apparently) and cover has to be cemented in place. Unlike the RE kit, the clear cover is not convex shaped and is a flat panel that must be bent and formed to the pod. Less expensive than the RE kit, but not as polished in appearance, in my opinion. However, the lighting may make up for that, assuming you're willing to cut your car.
So how do you then bend the cover to convex shape to make it fit perfectly ? And how do you make them look simmetrical on both sides ?

I dont think these will ever happen anyways guys so if you are looking for headlight coversions I would look elsewhere.

Very carefully. :)

The plexi included with the kits is very thin and, truth be told, pretty damn cheesy. It'll bend somewhat, but I'm sure it's interesting trying to get it to fit as nicely as the genuine article. I believe it sits pretty flat on these pods, though, with less of a curve than the original Amemiya kit.

Windshield urethane or something similar is what you need, and then once the cover is positioned properly on the pod, running masking tape over it in multiple directions from the adjacent body panels is probably the best way to hold it in place while the sealant is curing. That's the method I used with my RE Amemiya lights, at any rate. IIRC, I think we also put small weights on top of the covers (and taped them in place to keep them from sliding off) to keep pressure on the cover while the sealant cured.

You really should think about making a kit for the fc, theres a dozen kits for the FD and most Fd guys dont mind paying the extra, but theres only 3 kits i know of for the fc:

Re amimeya - over priced

east bear - hard to find (i think discontinued)

cp racing - mixed reviews on the company

If you ever do decide to make an fc model, ill do you a favor and let you "test fit" and "advertise" on my car in exchange for a free set :D (shameless attempt to get free shit)

respecttheseven 01-11-06 08:51 PM

lets do a poll: where should i start one? here is our kit we designed from the ground up and sell a ton of now for the FD, i would make the FC version designed to the body of the FC. let me know
