Thanks for everyones input! I appreciate your time and consideration with helping me decide on wheels. I have been looking long and hard at te37's, they are definitely amazing wheels - just not for the FD. They look SICK on 350s:
http://www.gruppe-s.com/Ben/Wheels/z33_le37t.jpg
They just don't fit the curves of the FD at all:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y121/purerx7/te37.jpg
they look "okay" here:

If I was building a black all out track fd then I would consider them, but they just don't suit my car, even though the photoshop does look good.
Then I see meisters like this

However, I want them in MGM (matte gunmetal) like on this 997

I might do matte black too. Just put a deposit on these:

work meister or ssr sp1 with the middle face on hyper black or gun metal with a very aggressive off set, skinny tires and slammed.

Thanks for the photoshop Montego. I will go wingless in a couple of days. I will post some more photos then. It is a pity cause that wing is a piece of art. It is soooo smooth and it is the original Re Amemiya. Worth 1600€...I must sell it somewhere

spoiler looks good on ther Bryan. Car looks amazing!

purerx7 10-13-09 10:17 PM

Thanks Eddie! You really need to see it in person, as anyone who has can testify how pictures don't even come close.

Bye bye old wheels:

Not the ideal place to have it jacked up, I need to find a DD

Some of the work the bodyshop did in the fender wells, came out very good IMO.

Picking up the Work Meisters this Friday, still deciding on a color for the face - so confused.

Blackadde/// 10-13-09 11:07 PM

I'm in the same boat Bryan. At least, yours is one piece. My FD is completely torn apart, but it is in a garage.
I might be picking up a 02 bmw 3-series tomorrow, knock on wood. If the bank says no - I guess I'll get a civic. Good luck on your search for a DD. The FD is beautiful.

StealthFox 10-14-09 03:14 AM

lol thats exactly how my cars gonna be, posted on jackstands with hella pimped out paint and bodywork but no suspension brakes or rims...ghetto but at LEAST in one piece like moto said

Ceylon 10-14-09 03:40 AM

I would be paranoid leaving my car jacked up like that, let alone in a car park :D.

StealthFox 10-14-09 03:42 AM

lol good point, why is this car on stands in what appears to be a public place? id be worried for it there. are the new rims about to be put on or something?

I live in an apartment where we have a gated parking garage for residents, this sits up on the 5th floor out of everyones way - hopefully. New wheels will be here Friday, then off to the powder coater and then I need to get tires, I am hoping two weeks downtime.

Man the things I would do for a garage and some air tools. I really want a m5 dd, but I will probably settle for the new A4.

EviLPeNeviL 10-14-09 11:28 AM

That's nuts man, you should at least get a set of stockers in the meantime..... Or cover her up....

Play around with them a lot before you drill holes...I had to sand part of my bumper to get them to sit flush in the correct spot.
Then again, that could be a problem with my particular bumper.

purerx7 10-18-09 11:22 AM

meisters are in. Still deciding on what color I am going to powdercoat them, not keeping them gloss black though.

Got them over at my350z, they were just refinished so they are brand spanking new. Right now the sizes are:
front: 19x9.5 + 24
rear: 19 x 10.5 + 23

Not really happy with the fronts, I might move the rear's to the front then order a set of 19x11.5 + 24 for the rears. Either way I plan on running a 305/30 Michelin PS2 for the rear tires. Need to decide how big of a bbk I plan on getting because the fronts are big caliper disk.

bewtew 10-18-09 01:09 PM

ihavetwins 10-18-09 04:57 PM

Solid colors are in !
