Totally. It conforms to weird shapes of a bumper, it'll definitely conform to slightly curved lights.

people wrap their entire cars in 3m material, it conforms to the little nooks and crannies of bumpers and air vents.

headlights are a piece of cake!

This is slightly different that the clarity might change when film is stretched too much. Not all 3M materials are the same.

To OP, if you are concerned, contact 3M or any of the places that does car bras. Personally, the amount of money you spend, its not worth it as when you nick it it looks bad and you would need to re wrap. I would never get a clear bra unless I have a collectors car with original paint. Painting a bumper for an FD costs around 300-400.. Bra was 250-350.

If anyone wants to sell their OEM headlight covers (damaged or not is fine), send me a PM

fd3s777 04-20-11 09:46 AM

Back to topic. Original light frame had 2 big holes which will not allow us to direct mount the lights on. So I made these templates which will be made in metal plate as final production. Screw holes will be pre drilled for the lights.

any shots of these on car with the infiniti bullet projectors?
im really interested in that setup.

do the modifications/cutting required to make this fit prohibit being able to go back to stock lights in the future?

this has been mentioned many time. You have to cut the bumper for it to work. No frame cutting necessary. So yes you can go back to stock but you will need a new bumper.

Are there any photos available with this bolted on the car?

fd3s777 05-16-11 08:51 PM

My FD is wating online for bodyshop to cut and paint my front bumper. My G35 Coupe (top secret) and wife's Honda Fit(nobless bodykit) are in front of the line.

How's the fitment and quality? Are the shrouds thin or sturdy, better lighting would help us see. Congrats on the new lights .

got_hp 05-26-11 06:11 PM

Don't forget secured by zipties! To be safe!

tgoar 05-26-11 09:30 PM

Sorry for the poor quality iPhone pics. -the lights came with the kit. Quality is OK. Figuring out how to mount the light that came with the kit was the trick. Needed to cut to accommodate the larger light. Will post better pictures once I color match.

RX72NR 05-27-11 09:40 AM

Right on, looks good so far. My favorite for a light kit.

purerx7 05-27-11 06:01 PM

Ahh I remember the good ole days of my RR lights, this kit looks good. Here is a reference pic of what the authentic kit looked like on my old fd.

Just want to let everyone know. If you go with Q45 option, you will need to cut a circle hole on the headlight frame of your FD. Cuz Q45 light is too deep, it will extend out too much and won't fit directly. Rawbz08 I have trimmed your housing as much as I can to do this, but you still need too cut the frame. I have included another set of 120MM lights for you. In case you decide not to go with Q45 lights. No extra charge. But this is only for you.

NOTE to new Q45 option orders: You will need to trim the base to fit and cut a cicle hole on the light frame of the FD. This is only for people want Q45 option. Normal 120MM light kit no need to do this.

KenSpeC 07-13-11 09:39 AM

pm'd you back, lmk so I can order finally. Thanks

Rawbz08 07-13-11 10:34 AM

Woo hoo I'm glad I'm the lucky one. I'll mount and take pics as soon as I can.
Thanks

fd3s777 07-13-11 11:25 AM

Rawbz08 Just want to make sure you know this before I ship the kit out. The Q45 light housing have arrived. I'm ready to ship out.

KenSpeC 07-13-11 01:25 PM

Jay, payment sent for the FD front flares. Can you please ship them out soon as possible and a tracking number please!!!! Thanks! Sorry for replying on this thread lol.

fd3s777 07-14-11 03:23 AM

RR kit with Q45 option going out today.

http://www.evo-r.net/product/RX-7/RR_Sleek/Q45.JPG

turboIIrotary 07-14-11 04:44 AM

You should have the option for real q45 projectors then it will be good looking and a have a good light source. Of course it would only be for the "ballers" since it would require all the hid equipment.
