Which looks better? Side mirror opinion

I’m a weight loss junkie and am trying to remove as much weight as I can from this fd without sacrificing ac and glass windows. I decided to go with a set of carbon side mirrors and I bought drakes mirror mounts to mount them but also have the option of mounting them in the stock location.

my wife thinks the Drakes mirror mounts make the mirrors sit too high and I didn’t notice it myself until she mentioned it.

here are pics of the 2 different mounting points, sorry they aren’t the best quality because the fenders are off and I’m in the process of prepping the car for a repaint. I appreciate any opinions good or bad

If the car is "tuner / time attack" style, I like the F1 mirrors mounted to the base of the A-pillar. But not for a stock or oem+ vehicle and I'd just roll with the stock ones. ymmv.

One thing worth noting, if you do decide to mount to the A-pillar, make sure to measure and adjust the each mirror arm length so that they're actually functional.

i kind of like the a pillar mount, but i also wouldn't make any decisions, until the car is further along. (if at all, lol)
i also like the both idea, maybe today you like the stock mirrors and next week you want the racey ones, and you can do that

Looks, pillar mount. They match the contour of the door more on the pillar due to how flat the top of the mirror is, the APR/Craft Squares mount is lower on the mirror, so they look more balanced on the door, I find.

But, as mentioned above, it would be better not to make a call until you have the build further along. I have APR carbon mirrors, they look good, are super light, and are all around solid as side mirrors. However, I can't see **** when I need to parallel park, and the blind spot in the FD is even worse, But I also am in a bucket seat. On the track, I don't get a wide enough view of who might be in my blind spot, so the Wink rally mirror is what I end up using more.
