Keyless entry for FD

Is it possible to put a keyless entry on an FD without overriding the factory anti-theft system?

anything is possible with a little planning...
absolutly, just trigger the alarm off when you unlock door, and trigger it on when you lock, i belive the keyless entry will provide with an output trigger for such events, just check the box and manual to make sure, hell everything is electrical so it must be possible

The factory disarm wire is in the driver kick panel. When you lock the car the factory alarm automatically arms. You will need to add an actuator on the driver door, that will lock and unlock the driver door, and the passenger door will lock and unlock with it.

There is a thread going in FDnewbie's vendor section for FACTORY keyless entry.... from the later model rx7's in japan.

Problem is, we have been waiting for 6-7 months now. It's a long story, not ramy's fault, but depending on your time frame, you mgiht check it out.

Yes, if you're curious, I'm about to take appart my driver door, and can show you how it's setup, incl. Wiring... since you're in Granda Hills, I suppose that's CA, you can drop by... I live in the Van Nuys Area...
