fender flares?
I'm looking for a set of fender flares for my 84se. Anyone know where I can get a set? I'm not looking for something as wild as on the mariah kits, just something discreet that I can rivet on.... kinda like the datsun 240z style
|
so am I. I think your talking about something like this from the renesis fb.

I can't remember who, but someone on here used fender flares off of an old Volkswagen (iirc) and it looked really good.
|
it was an overfender from an old cabriolet
|
I think that guy is mosesx605 or something like that.

tried selectmaz the price was decent but the shipping its a killer.
|
I couldn't find any prices on selectmaz. I like the fenders on the blue and red car. I wonder what tire size they are running. Anyone have any of these on their own cars?
|

Has the great debate on Datsun ZG flares fitting or not been answered?
As far as the Selectmaz, I had a great thread a while back about their Group C replica body kit. It was about 1500 for the whole kit, 360 just for the flares, 380 on the wing and about 750-780 for the shipping. Other full widebodys are around 2-3k or so, so this is what I wanted to go with. I would love some less aggressive "Street" flares though. Gotta be riveted on though. |
Best Flares

I don't mean to come off conceited but I think I got the best flares.
CP Racing, hate the service and the price.....but the product looks good if done right. I used stainless screws. |
If they were still selling to the public I'd certainly buy a set, but now we're all screwed for decent fender flares
|
Slammed_GSL....What size wheels/tires do you have? What backspacing?
I absolutely love the stance of your car. What suspension are you running? |
they look like they are 15'' enkeis?

While the original gold centers do look good with the black body, I prefer black/charcoal centers with the black body paint. If you choose to go with a darker center, PM me for for powdercoating pricing, you only need to remove 80 allen screw remove the centers, lol. Fun part is getting the 2 half shells sealed during assembly to prevent leaks, lol. If your wish to keep the old school look, I can probably find a good gold pc to freshen the centers up. Where did you source your ss screws and what was the pice? I have 3 different bolt lenths and 2 different thread pitchs on ine for previous owners. |

Still pic, Front 15x7 Epsilons 205/50/15 Rear 15x8.5 225/50/15 Front:Eibach springs 400lb on coilovers Koni Adjustables with camber plates Rear: Eibach springs 250lb with 2 dead coils cut to adjust ride hieght ...still not low enough! Search on Slammed_GSL for details on the fender flares/coilovers with how to pics. Changing out my R&P steering soon, going to a front steer if I can swing it. Trochoid: I used SS screws with predrilled hole, no backing nuts. I bought them but with the metal work I did on cutting the fenders I just went the easy route. |
If the bolts are tapped into the shell halves on the Eps, I would back them up with nuts and lock washers. Imho, there isn't enough meat for the threads on the Eps for long term security/holding power due to the dynamic forces they are subject too, to great of a risk. Can't speak for the Enies, nevr seen a set.

I flared my factory fenders today to clear the 16-65-15 Michelins that I will run this year.
Baseball bat and a friend to push the car, that's all it takes... |
