Fd seat question: alternatives??

Ok, so everybody owning an FD knws it's very hard to find an aftermarket seat that fits because of the limited seat width.

Now what would be other OEm seats that could fit, keeping the original design in mind?

Examples:
1. Miata seats?
2. Porsche 928, 968 seats?

i'm looking for stripped seats (FD,Miata,Porsche) that will fit without a question (seat width speaking) to build some thing I got in mind.

I want OEM frames as a base as I consider seats as an important safety part and don't want to give in on that aspect. I want to make a reclinable sport seat based on OEM seat framing

Thanks in advance

The thing is I made a mould of a Sparco Rev seat about 2 years ago and it's still here.
As it is a 2 pieced mould I can make the seat piece and back piece separately.

Fitting them to an OEM frame would make it the perfect seat from my point of view.

torino and milanos dont actually fit ideally, they will rub the doors quite a bit.

Yep, I know they all do... M3 seats are pretty nice and probably more available here in europe, but they have not the sidewalls I want on mine.

Anybody know of Miata seats fit the FD seat frame?

I have 02 corvette seats, not the z06 seats as the z06 seats are very stiff, but the sport coupe seats are amazing and comfortable! Good for long trips.

I now have the Sparco Roadster II's and I love them. It took some fitting time but they are the best and an affordable alternative for the RZ's.

Bride Low-Max. Recommended fit for the FD. And no rubbing. Fully reclining with a carbon fiber back.

Does Bride offer brackets for the FD? side or bottom mount? Either for reclinable or full race seats?

Bride offers full sliding brackets for the Low-Max/other reclinables and side mount for their racing buckets, all specifically for the FD.
