BRIDE GIAS Low-Max

1 Attachment(s)
Reclining kevlar seat, should fit well in the RX7 given it's low height. Retails for $1700 and change, anyone have a street price on these puppies? Are there any vendors on the forum that can get these?

eastondle 05-24-05 01:00 AM

those are hot shit! i want them!! but, i would say street price is roughly about 10-15% off of msrp... still too rich for my blood.

rynberg 05-24-05 01:08 AM

http://www.tees-usa.com/welcome.html

Gias = $1725 list, plus $195 for brackets. Normal retailer is 15% off = $1632 EACH. Yikes!

Chaosx1 05-24-05 02:01 AM

So expensive~! :( :( :(

rx7tt95 05-24-05 09:30 PM

Cheaper than RZ seats though, and probably a bit more practical and comfortable. I heard Sparco has a reclining carbon seat now (not the Enzo seats).

Yes, I saw a picture in a magazine for the new Sparcos. Unfortunately, I can't recall what magazine, though I think that it was a picture from SEMA...

Now we just need a bleeding-edge Floridian to buy one of the new Brides and one of the new Sparcos, fit them in his CLR powered FD, and provide a nice review with professional photos. Hmmm, who could we get... :D

Scrub 05-25-05 12:39 PM

I've looked into getting these since the passenger probably doesn't need to be sitting in the same position as the driver. They are definatley nice seats.

jic 05-25-05 06:15 PM

those look crazy

user 9348703 05-25-05 06:51 PM

Damn they are only $1100 here but still way too much....IMHO

94RHDFD 05-25-05 10:26 PM

They are on back order for 3 months and are a special order only

Bodyshop 05-25-05 11:42 PM

Too bad, but www.tees-usa.com doesn't list the dimensions for these seats. I do know that the XaxIIs that I have in my FD are a crazy tight fit. I mean they barely fit. These look like they're kind of wide. Guess we won't know until we get some measurements.

Scrub 05-25-05 11:54 PM

I've seen some pics from the TAS...one of the FDs there have em installed, so they will fit.

94RHDFD 05-26-05 06:06 AM

They fit, if you go to BRIDE's website the rx-7 is list'd as one of the car's that they will fit into.

user 9348703 05-26-05 07:43 PM

20B 3rd Gen---There are a few places that have them in stock, but im sure thats what BRIDE would say to someone asking.

speedjunkie 05-26-05 09:11 PM

I saw them in an Options magazine that had the measurements and taking into account the measurements of the shoulder area of the FD, they will fit with an inch or two to spare I believe, if I remember correctly. But I know they'll fit and being tall I'm considering getting some still. At least one anyway.

Jason,
I'm sure you know of some places that have them in stock but we all are not fortunate enough to live in Japan :D I've decided to get me a set.

so sexy so expensive.

rx7tt95 05-28-05 08:30 PM

Well if you guys want to set a donation fund for me, I'll be happy to experiment and continue to push the "bleeding edge". It's a tough job, but someone has to do it :)
Michel

RX7 RAGE 05-28-05 09:28 PM

Is that $1100 for the pair or one?

rynberg 05-28-05 09:40 PM

One.

These are carbon fiber shelled reclinable seats, guys. You want cheaper seats, look at fiberglass shelled seats.

94RHDFD 05-30-05 08:18 PM

So far that's the cheapest place I've seen them for sale, better get them before the sale ends

Chaosx1 05-30-05 10:26 PM

Has anyone tried sitting in one? I've tried a few Bride seats and some of them have the shoulder things too close and its hard to turn the steering wheel.

Herblenny 06-01-05 10:14 PM

I like them!!! Hope they seat well in an FD.

Herblenny 06-02-05 02:36 PM

Hmm.. looks like it will fit fine..

Well I've come to my senses for at least a few months and instead of rolling that much dough into two seats I'll invest in a certain widebody kit I've had my eye on as well as a set of new rims. Anyone want a set of used Volk Racing SE37A bronze rims, 18x9.5" with a 45mm offset? :)
Michel

SRA-FD3S 06-03-05 01:58 AM

i'll take the wheels

I already have my rims and wide fenders, hopefully I'll be placing my order in couple months :D

rx7tt95 06-06-05 08:52 PM

I checked with SP Engineering and there's a 4 TO 6 MONTH wait on these puppies at about $1500 a pop. Anyone find better pricing here in the states? I may purchase one to start.

Oh its 2 month wait, not 4-6monhts, I ordered mine late april :bigthumb:

Back from retirement for one last big score :D

rx7tt95 06-18-05 11:06 PM

Honestly, what do you think you could get them for Jason? With shipping? Apparently orders have ramped up since April as I can't find anyone who can quote me a shorter delivery time.

Interesting, I seem to have waited over 2 months now for simple parts from you Jason. How can you deliver seats that are on backorder well before the simple parts Im waiting on?

user 9348703 06-19-05 07:13 AM

Bridge_FD3S---Guess what because of your STUPID remark your order has just been cancelled, congrats. You knew exactly why your order was taking a little extra....

ouch!

Jason,
I'm also interested in these seats.. so, tell us what they will cost shipped to good ole US of A.

Ditto on that.

user 9348703 06-21-05 07:52 PM

herblenny, Nameless---on a side note, he tried to change his order a few times and then complained that I didnt send each item as I got it, even though his quote was low for a one time shipment. Not to mention I told him that we are close and it will take longer to gather his (USED) hard to find parts and get them shipped then normal.

BACK TO THE SEATS.... nuf about my BS hehe...

Ok on the seats, I know someone that has them possibly in stock, im waiting on the word back, if they are in stock, the total time would be approx 1 month after payment, and 1 seat would be $1500, but 2 would be $2800 it looks due to 2 seats fiting in the same box.

dclin 06-21-05 09:42 PM

I'll vouch for Jason/JT. My new Mazda/OE part took forever and a day, but I know it's because of Mazda Corp. I've had other OE parts backordered for months thru other vendors, so I know how it can be. To be truthful, it's hard finding someone you can trust on the other side of the pond - too bad Jason isn't in the business any longer (though it sounds like he's still doing people favors - appreciate it if you are that lucky).

Would that include the FD brackets? If not, how much more to include them?

BTW, I've probably purchased a dozen large & small items from Jason over the last few years, and he's always been straight with me. Assuming that he goes back into business (:bigthumb:LIKE FOR SEATS), I would be happy to deal with him again.

Scrub 06-22-05 08:20 AM

I doubt the seats include the brackets, but if that price includes shipping it's a damn good deal.

94RHDFD 06-23-05 04:27 PM

The brackets are extra $200 a piece

money 11-09-07 04:28 PM

which brackets if for Gias Lowmax? The LR type or RO TYpe?. i know both of them will fit, but anyone here know which one will be better? fellow

http://www.tees-usa.com/seatrail_LowMax_LR.html

which one will fit perfectly ? i think is LR but not sure. suggestion please

D CUPS 11-10-07 04:57 AM

I use RO. LR is much lower, is a narrower rail so it bolts on to the inner part of the Gias seat (RO bolts on the outer part)

yah. don't know if it does hit the door or not. cause he is using the RO Type. he said that the view is great ( 172cm = 5 feet 8) that is how tall he is. but somehow he didnt tell me if the side is hitting the door when it closed or not.

Can you find out luigi?

Crymson 12-23-07 12:58 PM

Hey guys- BUMP!

Can big guys get into these seats? There is a retailer who is having a Boxing day sale (its the canadian equivalent to Black Friday in the states, but it's the day after christmas, on the 26th) and hes got these in stock and the boxing day sale is 60% off instock inventory. I'm 6'2, 230 lbs, and about a 36 inch waist.

str8ryd 12-23-07 03:57 PM

It'll be a tight squeeze. Probably very uncomfortable. Bride Seats in general are not friendly to bigger/taller individuals. The bolsters are very narrow so you'll probably have issues.

purerx7 12-23-07 10:28 PM

i sat in the gias and at 160lb 6ft it was comfortable for me, nice and snugg.
