Alcantara/Ultrasuede interior pics?
Hello, anyone have any Alcantara/Ultrasuede interior pictures? The posts I have searched for on the forum are old and none of the pictures show up. I am looking to Ultrasuede my interior with a piano black trim and would like to get some ideas, thanks.

Ahh yes thanks. I did not mean seats, I plan on using black ultrasuede on things like the dash, door panels, headliner etc with piano black plastic trim peices. Some production cars like Aston Martin have interiors like that. It is going to be a crapload of work though. Darth Vader luxurious..

Two more places to look:
1. I think that RonKMiller may also have used Alcantra to redo more than the seats in his interior. Try a search on his name.
2. Another guy in the carpet group buy thread posted pics of his carpet install that also revealed a dash recovered in Alcantra. You'll need to wade through the thread to find pics.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. Gordon, you say the ultrasuede fades quickly in areas that get direct sunlight? Have you noticed that on your car or maybe on someone elses? The reason I ask is the ultrasuede website makes it sound like its very durable and can be placed on dashboards etc. I'd hate to go through all of the trouble of doing the dash and then the black turns into grey and doesn't match the rest of the interior. I wonder how some of the OEM's get away with it on dash's, maybe some kind of protectant chemical or the like?
I take it you are doing another custom interior on your 20b project?

I worked myself with the "fake" alcantara stuff and it really faded in only one summer especially on bright colors like the orange I had. If I'm honest I wouldnt use it again especially not on stuff like the dashboard.

I am a little confused. I thought Ultrasuede was just the North American arm of Alcantara and that they were the same product. So I should buy the brand Alcantara from Europe that's more expensive?
