Rich, you sure you mean ABS and not Airbag? Airbag would be SRS.

The airbag computer is up in the driver's footwell, by the side of the heater core near the gas pedal. It's also in a box in my attic if you need one :). The computer in my car is now bye-bye, but I still need to eventually remove the rest of the airbag wiring.

BTW, unplugging the computer will kill the beep, but you have to remove the airbag bulb. It's on some other system for that thing to light up. I just said the hell with it and pulled the bulb.

Thanks Dale, that's what happens when I post when I'm in a hurry to get out the door.... acronym confusion

Do you have a picture of the airbag computer? I just had my head down in that area while routing all the wiring for my Defi gauges too.

I already have the bulb removed, if killing the beeping is as easy as unplugging/removing the airbag computer I'm all for it :icon_tup:

My car doesn't beep, odd. I still must remove that damn light though.

That's what I've been saying---- your car will beep after you remove the light.

Just a suggestion

I don't know if this for a fact would work but can't you just put a resistor to fool the computer that the airbag is still there?

Just a suggestion

It works. If the proper hub is used, it should come with one. If not, what is needed is a 10 Ohm resistor.

Ohhhh, I was too tired when I read the thread. I'll stick with the blinking for now until I get the resistor.

I already found it, Dale's description was accurate wrt the location. Black box, yellow sticker with a warning re: the Airbag system.
