so far i haven't gotten any of those but i did have 30+ emails of all these reported posts. mods/admin are on the case.

 

I just received one of these today.

 

George and I have been working on getting everything cleaned up and will continue to do so.

 

Mazdaverx713b and I did the very best to cut off the spammers before more members received PM like the OP received.

For members who see something wrong then please say something! Use the "Report a Post" icon (the Exclamation Mark within a triangle) and the mod team will do their best to investigate the problem.

Thanks to all who reported these spam PMs and especially the mod team who handled the spam accounts.

Today was round 2 of a wave of PM spammers. If you received a PM from one of these suspected spammers then please check the user's public profile (there is no harm in it). If there is a "Banned" status then you do need to report it. If you do not see a "Banned" status then please, report it. Afterwards, you may delete the message.

There were approximately 100 spammers attempting to flood our PM system today. Several messages were unfortunately submitted during the process of banning these suspect accounts.

Again, the mod team thanks all of you who reported the problem and we are sorry that you had to receive such trash in your PM inbox.

I've gotten this now on 4 different forums, all within a week of each other. I'm guessing there's some kind of automated software performing all of these. Annoying but not the end of the world.
