Post count For sale Sections

Hey, I'm just a bit of a lurker, gathering information and looking to one day switch from the DSM world to the Rotary world.

I noticed in the general for sale sections, you only need 5? posts to view.
I decided to start looking in the Regional for sale section for Canada only, and you need 7. Thought that was kind of odd. Maybe an FYI for the mods?

Take care!

You will need at least ten posts to participate in the classifieds. You will see that mentioned in the grey area right above the classifieds.

I am finding it difficult to get my post count up in order to view/interact in the sections that people actually care about and use.

Stick around the new member section and it's not too hard. That's why a majority of the members have 10+ posts...
It's not hard to greet new members or help someone with their vehicle issue.
I do believe the moderators do actually check that the 10 posts you've made are not spam and actually have at least some degree of content before granting you the "10 posts mark." but that's just my guess.

Welcome,
Ed.

I read that.
I am not posting anything just viewing,

To view the main classifieds section I only needed 5? posts which I had for the longest time.
When I go to check out the Canadian classifieds it says I needed 7 to view. Just stating the differences

But i guess this is my 7th post, so I am in the clear.

and if you notice those big HIGHLIGHTED threads above the NEW section that say 'READ BEFORE POSTING'..
They are RULES which help you get NINE posts.

So saying you are having a hard time to get posts is simply an oversight on your part,as the Forum rules actually give you the opportunity to gain Posts.

Just some friendly info to ponder: Members get to use the Classifieds..not guys that pop in off the Internet to grab parts and go.(general observance not pointing fingers here)
That is why it is called a Car Forum..
We urge the guys to at least get to explore the Forum for what it has to offer.which is MORE than just parts.

NOT Necessarily, when you Post excessively in the new section(max posts are 3 per member) then submit a Intro with NO name attached. They just get deleted.
Which they were.
So if you spot a Big Colored Thread above the INTRO section that says READ BEFORE posting,it is dying to be read..again..by you.

I made an account and paid the subscription for a group buy and found that I still need to make 10 posts ><

Kind of frustrating, but them's the rules.

That's right Daniel.
And Unfortunately since you were "soliciting your parts" as part of your Intro you will find that your Intro is not showing up.
Location,car,name..tidbit of info..that's it..
NO mention of Parts for sale..Nope,not happenin.(besides you have a whole section that you can freely post in now)

Vendor or No Vendor,There is a Equal plane for all..and that is no Buying or selling in an INTRO.

Again it all boils down to the HIGHLIGHTED Rules threads that are Multi posted just to get the new member's attention and If read they allow you to gain posts.

Ironically Rules that actually HELP you.

and I'm not singling you out Daniel.I gotta call em as I see em.
You Sell brakes(Crap!, did I just solicit Parts?...) ..and I moderate the New section.

Post another Intro without the "parts stuff".You can ask guys to "take a look at your thread" in the Group Buy Section though..
Good Luck to you.Glad to have you aboard.
