OR new member section to old member section

Hi, I am just wondering how many posts it takes for a new member to be able to post threads in the more advanced technical sections?
Thanks!

That will be ten posts...go to the New Member Intro board and hit the "Read" sticky's for a quick bounce up on the posts w/o fear of getting them deleted as "post whoring." When you go the the reg tech sections, DO NOT ASK QUESTIONS w/o researching FIRST in the FAQ pages sticky'd there and then in the Search engine for that tech board. If you want to post a question w/o bothering to research, that's what we have the New Member RX-7 Technical boards for.

Maybe it's ten for starting an ad in the classifieds and 5 for getting access to the tech boards. Got me, it's changed a couple of times in the past year.

Just a reminder ... there should be at least some substance to a post while you're in the New Member forums. For example, you can always comment or help to welcome new members in their intro threads or add info to your own.

Thanks.

Feels super spammy to me if I just went down the new members section giving generic welcomes. Might just be what I have to do tho, and then come back in 18 hours lol

I know this is probably a joke, but just to make clear, I don't think generic welcomes count as substance. If you want to increase your post counts quickly, write an interesting intro and reply to other active members' responses with engaging content. Remember, even after you reach 10 the "New members" section remains at the top on the forum. That means that all members logging in have a chance to see if the section is active or has anything interesting going on.
