So you made 7 posts in 15 minutes and an 8th one a minute later complaining that you don't have access yet. WTF... Have a little bit of patience for the forum to process your status.

I have one post, but honestly not sure bc I can't really reply to any threads other than this one lol. I'm not really sure how keeping new users from being able to post on other forums really encourages discussion

It's not to encourage discussion, it's to DISCOURAGE spammers and scammers.

Yeah you've had those a few days now (since 6/1). You can always pm a mod to see what's up.

I do understand the reasoning, but 10 is a bit excessive....if i knew about if back when i joined then i would be fine.
I just want to get to the classifieds to see if there are any FD's for sale

People act as if 5-10 LEGIT posts is some kind of major milestone . Not that hard to do guys...

Edit-
People claim they understand the reasoning behind the minimum post count. Fact is if they are whining, they really do not understand. Here's the reasoning:

RX-7 Club is unique in thoroughly vetting its New Members and in checking every classifieds ad before it hits the regular Classifieds boards. OTH, this site is also refreshingly free of idiots trying to spam cellphones, Viagra, get-rich-quick schemes from Canada and ****.

It is also 99% free of scammers ripping off members and flat out nutcases threatening people and acting like morons as they do so on the rest of World Wide Web.

Well there's a few weird aspects about post this count thing..
A new member is likely new to the car, so they probably dont have much to contribute. I.e, answering questions another member asks.
If they post a new thread about a car they may have bought with questions, theyre shunned and told to search. If they search, still have questions on that thread, theyre shunned for bringing up an old thread.
So, then we just get threads like this *shrug*.

u don't need to know anything to carry on a conversation with another member, either in their intros about what they have or make comments about other's builds. u might even get some ideas from someone else's build. getting 10 posts really isn't that difficult.

and as for bumping several yr old threads, please click the user's name and see when the last time they logged on. if it's been that long, that member is probably no longer here. or pm that user.

I run an XP FD and have owned rotaries since 1973. But, I hate to just jump on this forum and bother people with information that just wastes their time just to get the count up But this is number 10 so I should be set now so I can view the classifieds. Anything else I post will hopefully be contributory.

You're not alone. I don't want to clutter up the forum with useless posts, but limiting where new users can post just results in threads like this.

News flash this isn't eBay. The forum is a community and the minimum post count is also there to discurage those that want to use it as a shopping center. Don't believe me, look at this quote from an actual moderator (it is from the link I posted, but it's not like you guys read :

...The fact is, we don't want people joining just to buy parts here. This is not an online shopping center. The Classifieds sections exist as a privilege for our regular members...
So there, quit your bitching and just be part of this awesome community. Trust me, if you end up owning a rotary powered car it will pay off in the long run

I can read, thank you for your concern. It's that limiting junior members to only posting in the new members section is a bit too restrictive, and leads to a lot of garbage filler posts. The mods have realized this based on their posts in their recent forum improvements poll, and are working to open up posting in the forum for junior members for all other sections except for the classifieds. They haven't implement those changes yet though, so for time time being junior members have to make do here. I understand the concepts behind these rules, but car forums like these just aren't as active as they once were years ago, so there's a need to adjust rules that were created for a different time.
