Impossible. Thats a brand new Yellow Top Battery I sent you. How Is your Alternator? I don't know If you've covered these questions already as I don't know the status of your car except that your Battery won't hold a charge as you've just said.

Not that battery Tony, the battery that was in my car was one I used just for running it. That is the battery I have in there now and it is working just fine. Alternator is just fine.
The Yellow top is in my car now and doing good... so far but still haven't had any success getting it running.

I just found this and actually had my e6x having similar tendencies. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried anything lately. Damn i should have got the e8
I even made a insanly shielded cas wire.

I read all about these problems after buying my X and was a little "reluctant" ( ) to install it.

I had some pickup issues that only surfaced as all or nothing. I would crank the engine over and get signal - or not. Simply adjusting the gains and filters for a few minutes got me to a point where I could consitently get accurate signal.

Unfortunatley I had other issues with the unit itself that turned out to be caused by shipping damage, but the new unit worked liek a charm.

I haven't done much high RPM testing since the first broken haltech caused my pre-mixed engine to run on one rotor consistently.........and that blew the fresh rebuild up So give me a few weeks t oget the re-rebuild running and verify that everything works up top.

This is using a stock CAS with the haltech CAS wiring, and OEM CAS plug.

I should mention this unit isn't an early model (E6K case) this is a newer version with the red case. Running 1.26 Halwin.

Just an update, I fixed my issue. Put in a new cas with the magnets adjusted closer to the teeth and it works great now.

Hmm, would this reluctor issue be a reason why I dont get any signal from the trailing plugs with a timing light? Also Ive been having the problem with leading 2. My timing is dead on from leading 1, but for some reason only sometimes I get a signal with my timing light from leading 2. When im not getting the signal, its running on one rotor (runs like ****). When im getting signal from leading 2 it runs better just real rought at idle and a little break up at higher RPMs. Ive had my E6X since march of this year and still have yet to drive my car around the block :/.

Verified it's actually sparking?

If so, change out your spark plugs?
Fouled spark plugs will be intermittent.

I had a similar problem. It leaves me when I upgrade ignition setup.

Okay, I went to get brand new spark plugs. It started right up, I got signal from both leading plugs for about an hour but none what so ever from the trailing at all. Not even on the first start with the brand new plugs. I swapped out trailing coils with 2 other known working coils and still nothing. Im using magnecor 10mm spark plug wires. Is it possible my plugs are fouling out on the trailing side as soon as I start the car? Or could it be becauseof the haltech install (it was my very first time installing one). Thanks Ted

Hey FunkLove, what kind of problem were you having? It went away with upgrading the ignition system? What did you upgrade it to?

There should be no reason for a leading coil to only fire on 1 side, if its doing that its probably bad, and i would suggest swapping out coils for a new set you know is in good working condition.

Also, what kind of spark plug wires are you using? are they new, old, OEM? I would make sure they are good, measure their resistance with an ohm meter.

Other than that, lack of spark means probably ignition setup problem, either with trigger settings or with output settings.

Hey Claudio, Im using brand new magnecor 10mm spark plug wires. I havnt tried swapping out the leading coils yet, but with brand new plugs Im getting spark from both plugs just none at all on the trailing side.

Claudio, you still in the states? Would you still be willing to come out to Vegas to help me out a lil bit?

Steve is coming over this next weekend after sevenstock to help mess with it with me. If we cant fix it, its sitting until I can pay someone to proffesional do it for me.

Sorry for my bad English, Claudio. I mean that I have solved this problem with autronic 500R + LX92+ firewire. The OEM coils and wires was bad. Timing light shoots was unstable. I have now strongest ignition ever.
You are right, that guy needs new coils and compatible wires.

Im guilty of ot reading all the other posts here but check your trigger wheel and make sure it is not bent. Ive had an issue like yours in the past on another car and the home prong that sticks out of the trigger wheel was slightly bent away from the sensor. at low rpm's no problem at high rpm's I would get ignition problems or simulated redline. just a thought but if its bent and you can straiten it do so otherwise get a new pully. you can up your gain but you will still end up with intermittent problems

also for timing if you have an autozone/ advance auto timing light or any cheap digital light for that matter then you need the rpm's up around 1000 to get a good clean signal. analog timing lights don't have as much issues but good luck finding one for sale!
