Thumbs up Thumbs up to Haltech

Well i purchased a Haltech E6X not too long ago, finally got it installed, to find out the ECU was faulty.

I contacted haltech in australia over the phone and e-mail, and they dealt with it very well, including partial reimbursement for the $110 Shipping of the ECU back, and couriered it back to me.

Now i can pimp out my new Hat and T-Shirt as well

Haltech is good :P

I selected a Haltech e6x for my car as well. The issues have yet to be encountered, but from the looks of it, I think they will be.
What did they send you back in return?
And was specifically wrong with your x? the same type of ignition stuff thats talked about on this board?

no, everytime the laptop connected, before you could make any setting selections it would time out, and then not be able to reconnect for a fair amount of time.

Turned out to be a bad communications board

I received an email about that, the issue was with a specific component in the communication part of the PCB, Haltech switched suppliers of that component and was offering to fix the units on some level. This was for production of a few E6X and F10X units, but current units are bug free.

Haltech is really on the comeback trail now, ive even hear that they are coming back to establish a distributorship again in the US, so that will be a big plus.

Cost for haltechs is up and support is down ever since they pulled out of the US. But its all getting better.
