specific e11v2 tuning questions

so i finally got my e11v2/20b/ls1 coils/stock turbos (non-sequential)/6x1680cc/retardedly huge fuel pump/no ac/no ps fc running . . . kind of

last night i finally got the build 29 firmware so i can use halwin 1.62 (thanks again reese) and i started playing around. . .got the car to turn over, but it won't idle for long at all (couple seconds at the most). the problem is, it's flooding something fierce.

i started with the haltech provided 2 rotor basemap, turned it to 3 rotor (firing order 1-2-3 w/ 0-120-240 firing angles), multitooth rotary, direct fire, falling edge, constant charge, 4.5ms charge time.

sequential injection defaulted to something like 5.4ms injection duration (off the top of my head, it was close to that value for sure). i figured this was probably made by haltech assuming stock injectors (550cc), and so i reduced it to about 2ms which should still be pretty rich since it's more than 1/3 the default setting. my logic could be all wrong on the matter though, hence my post. at this low of an injection duration, it stopped sparking. i figured the plugs were probably fouled, and sure enough they were from turning it with the 5.4ms duration which sparked and blew wicked thick smoke out, as expected) figured i'd clean the plugs and give it another go, but ran out of time.

long story short, i'm seeking a reccomendation for injection duration for 1680cc for my attempt tonight to get it to idle without fouling/flooding.

also, for some reason, my leading 1 coil isn't sparking. all the others are. i'm gonna double check the wiring, but they're brand new coils, so it's unlikely that the coil is toast, although i'll confirm that as well. figured i'd mention it in the event anyone has some insight to offer.

Thanks guys, i'll be sure to post vids once i get it dialed in. . .

seriously mate, go with some smaller primary injectors...

you will NEVER need six 1680's....

id go either 550ccs, 720ccs or 12a turbos (880cc) on the primaries..

at the moment you have the capibility of 1600HP @ engine worth of fuel (85% duty, .5 BSFC)

now stock twins are never going to acheive this, and im guessing you're never going to see more than 700hp even when you upgrade.

so get smaller primaries or you are wasting your time trying to get a clean smooth engine under vacuum/low load conditions.

the new haltechs dont have a problem staging such a gap, so it would be worth doing.

unless of course, this is a methanol motor.. in which case, its a drag strip only jobbie, so idle is of least importance...

An E-11 will idle 1600cc injectors as lean as you want it to without any problems as long as you're in sequential mode. I have 13b's idling at 1.5ms with 1600cc injectors. Also start with 90 deg. in the 'End of sequential injection angle map'.
Honestly as 'burn4005' said your application does not require 1600cc primary injectors.

thanks for the input. . . i'm well aware that i don't need 1680s for the primaries. . .i just got them at a killer price with my fuel rails and lines and i had heard from a few people that the haltech should be able to run them with low enough injection duration to make them work, so i decided against spending another few hundred on new primaries. if i have to i will, but if i don't have to, i'd obviously rather not.

once again, thanks for the input, anyone else willing to weigh in on the injection duration and the lack of spark in the leading 1 coil is encouraged to do so.
