question for the pro

hey guys, sorry, i know nothing about the haltech, but i'd like to know if it can control an engine without using the stock engine harness.

The car is going to be race purpose and i am missing a stock wiring harness. Do i absolutly need one or can the haltech do without it?

I find it is alot easier to eliminate the stock harness for race cars. you will need to do some additional wiring, but it is not difficult.
